Drs. Moorthies, identical twins and dedicated physicians, embarked on a transformative journey a decade ago when one was diagnosed with Young-Onset Parkinson's Disease (YOPD). United by this challenge, they established a nonprofit organization aimed at supporting those similarly affected by YOPD. Their mission is to provide hope, resources, and a community for young individuals navigating the complexities of Parkinson's. Through their organization, the Moorthies brothers aspire to empower patients to live fuller lives despite their diagnosis, fostering resilience, and spreading awareness about the unique struggles faced by younger people with Parkinson's.
One of the twins affected by YOPD underwent Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) Surgery, which marked a significant turning point in his journey.
